After backing out of a trade for Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby, the Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a four-year deal with free agent edge rusher Trey Hendrickson.
It’s been a wild 12 hours in Baltimore, as the Ravens announced that they backed out of acquiring Crosby from the Raiders last night after they agreed to send them two first-round picks in a blockbuster trade.
This morning, news broke that the Ravens and Hendrickson agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth $120 million with $60 million guaranteed. So instead of giving up two firsts for Crosby, the Ravens have those picks and one of the most productive edge rushers in the NFL. However, many people don’t like how the Ravens handled themselves with the Raiders by backing out of a trade for a star player.
Trey Hendrickson Injury History
In his nine-year career, Trey Hendrickson has suffered a total of six different injuries, with four of them causing him to miss time.
In 2017, Hendrickson suffered a pedal ankle sprain, and was carted off the field and missed the final three games of the season.
During the 2022 playoffs, Hendrickson suffered a concussion but returned the following week for the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Early on in the 2022-2023 season, Hendrickson suffered a neck stinger, but did not miss time.
In Week 14 of the 2022-2023 season, he suffered a wrist fracture but played through the injury. He alerted the team’s medical staff and missed the following week.
During the 2025-2026 season, Hendrickson suffered two injuries back-to-back. In Week 6, he suffered a lower lumbar strain and missed the following week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. When he returned in Week 8, he suffered an inguinal hip sprain, which forced him to miss the rest of the season.
Like most veterans, Hendrickson has had his fair share of injuries, but two back-to-back injuries last season can easily be seen as concerning.
