“Bull****”: NFL GM Tears Into Baltimore’s Decision to Back Out of Maxx Crosby Trade as Cowboys Enter Race

Since news surfaced that coach Jesse Minter’s Baltimore Ravens have backed out of free agent Maxx Crosby‘s trade, the football world has been divided, with one executive apparently unhappy.

On Tuesday, March 10, the Baltimore-based franchise announced via social media that it has officially backed out of trading for Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Crosby, despite the deal being practically sealed.

“The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby. We have no further comment at this time,” the Ravens wrote in a public statement on the matter.

Having said this, a post by @underdognfl on X/Twitter showcases a report by NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, where he got a comment from an NFL general manager on the development. According to Pelissero, the unnamed GM is not a fan of the move by the Ravens.

“This is very much b*llsh*t on Baltimore’s part,” the unnamed NFL GM allegedly said.

For now, other franchises are likely to pursue Crosby, as the 28-year-old is now in an awkward position ahead of the 2026 NFL season. As it stands, multiple reports are pointing towards coach Brian Schottenheimer’s Dallas Cowboys as the favorites to land Crosby, given that they were up there with the Ravens as the final destinations for the standout edge rusher.

The reason why the Ravens decided to back out of the deal to acquire Crosby is reportedly due to the veteran’s health. Crosby was being dealt by the Raiders to Baltimore in exchange for a couple of first-round picks.

Maxx Crosby Already Had An Awe-Inspiring Message For The Baltimore Ravens Faithful

In a report by Ryan McFadden, published on ESPN, which details the Baltimore Ravens‘ rescinding of the Maxx Crosby deal, it was highlighted that Crosby had already issued a public statement to hype up his new team and its fan base.

The statement was apparently made on his social media accounts in a now-deleted post.

“I know there’s no guarantee in this. But, I’m going to give everything in my heart and soul to bring a championship to Baltimore. There are no more words needed for that. I’m so excited. I cannot wait to get out to the city and meet everybody,” Crosby shared.
