The New England Patriots finally made a highly-anticipated free agent signing in the wide receiver department, agreeing to terms with former Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs on Tuesday afternoon.
Doubs got a hefty contract, securing a four-year deal worth $68 million, with the chance of earning $80 million with $12 million in incentives.
Doubs recorded 55 receptions for 724 yards and six receiving touchdowns last season. The 724 receiving yards are the most he’s had in a single season and he averaged a career-high 13.2 yards per catch last season. He’s expected to be one of New England’s top wide receivers next season.
With the Patriots releasing WR Stefon Diggs this offseason, they may not be done at adding players a that position this offseason.
