Is Mike Evans A Free Agent? Insider Names $5.95Bn Destination As Favorite For Bucs Star

After being a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team for the last 12 seasons, wide receiver Mike Evans could join a new team in free agency.

Evans is set to become a free agent once the new league year begins net week. With the NFL tag deadline set to expire today at 4:00 p.m. ET, it looks as if Evans will hit the open market, barring a last-minute tag. The Bucs also have until next week to reach a long-term deal with Evans.

If Evans hits the free agent market, the Philadelphia Eagles are one of many teams expected to have interest in signing him. As of right now, they are the favorites to land him in free agency with a 30% chance at signing him.

If the Eagles were to sign Evans, it would only add more fuel to rumors that they’d possibly trade wide receiver AJ Brown.

In 12 seasons, Evans has recorded 886 receptions for 13,052 yards, and 108 receiving touchdowns.
