The South Carolina Gamecocks came into the 2025-26 season as one of the heavy favorites, but they soon hit a massive roadblock as star forward Chloe Kitts suffered a season-ending knee injury. She was supposed to be one of Dawn Staley’s most reliable stars, but she tore her ACL in October and required surgery.
A few months later, although she is not medically cleared to return to action, she is up and about once again. She recently posted photos from her night out, featuring herself in an all-white outfit with a black purse.
Her post soon got the attention of her current and former teammates. Her usual partner-in-crime, Tessa Johnson, did what best friends usually do and ribbed her.
“WHO DIS ISSSSS ?? 😩😩😩” BFF Tessa Johnson joked.
“Teaa 😍” said teammate Taniya Latson.
“😍😍😍” commented teammate Raven Johnson.
“😍😍😍” commented teammate Joyce Edwards.
“so prettyy😍😍😍,” complimented teammate Alicia Tournebize.
“Wow 😍😍,” added former teammate and Los Angeles Sparks star Sania Feagin.

Despite losing Kitts, Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks are still one of the best teams in the nation. At 21-2, they are ranked No. 3 nationally.
What Are Chloe Kitts’ Options After Injury?
After she got injured, Kitts said that she would “lead, support and push my teammates from the sidelines,” and so far she has. While she is not playing, the senior forward has been seen on the sidelines in many South Carolina games.
Last year, she won the SEC tournament MVP and averaged 10.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. She has also won a national championship with the Gamecocks in 2024.
Because she missed much of the season due to injury, she may be eligible for a medical redshirt, which would allow her to return to play next season. However, the WNBA may also be a good option for her, as she would be eligible after this season ends.
