LSU Tigers coach Kim Mulkey had a hilarious reaction to her team’s recent signing, drawing reactions from fans online. On Sunday, Iowa State Cyclones guard Jada Williams committed to LSU for the 2026-27 season.
Mulkey reacted to the news by uploading a GIF of herself taking crawfish out of their shells and smirking. The tenured tactician included three alarm emojis in the caption. Mulkey’s post on X/Twitter is presumably for Williams‘ recent news of her transfer, which has drawn the attention of the college basketball world.
Fans online raved over Mulkey’s reaction by showing how excited they are to see Williams join the Louisiana-based program for her fourth year.

Williams is coming off her junior stint of collegiate hoops with coach Bill Fennelly’s Iowa-based program, where she spent just one year. Before that, the Kansas City, Missouri, native spent her first two campaigns with the Arizona Wildcats. Williams now joins coach Mulkey and her squad, who were recently eliminated in the Sweet 16 of this year’s national tournament, finishing with an overall record of 29-6 (12-4 SEC).

In a post by sports reporter Jacques Doucet on X/Twitter on Sunday, it was reported that coach Kim Mulkey and her recruitment team were initially not even looking to snag a transfer point guard this offseason.
The reason why they went with Jada Williams is that LSU Tigers guard Jada Richard entered the transfer portal on Thursday, April 9, leaving a void in the team’s point guard spot.
