Flau’jae Johnson’s Seattle Storm succumbed to an 89-78 loss against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday, but her day was brightened by the presence of former LSU coach Kim Mulkey.
Mulkey appeared in the audience to support two of her former proteges, Johnson and Angel Reese, and one particular moment seemed to capture fans’ imagination more than any other during the game.
Flau’jae’s little brother Aydin Johnson interrupted Mulkey’s interview to give the LSU coach a hug, sparking love from fans in the comments.
Aydin Johnson Previously Stole the Show at the WNBA Draft
This wasn’t the first time young Aydin Johnson had appeared on camera; he had made his presence felt at the WNBA draft earlier this year, when his sister was selected.
Aydin jumped into Flau’jae’s post-selection interview, right when she was talking about her roots in Savannah, Georgia.
“Ah, man, I’m the first-ever WNBA Draft pick from Savannah, Georgia, so this means so much to me,” she said, before Aydin was seen on camera with his black suit and cap, which he took off to salute his older sister.
After being asked to come over for the interview, Aydin obliged, as the crowd cheered on the lovely family moment.
