Come Draft Day, Miami defensive lineman/edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. will very likely be one of the top picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Behind his 9.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and 44 tackles from this past season, Bain Jr. established himself as one of the most disruptive defensive players in the NCAA, along the way of being named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
Bain Jr. takes pride in playing well in both the pass and run game, and is one of the most versatile defensive lineman in entering the draft.
Premier pass rushers are always a need in the NFL, and there’s a very strong chance Bain Jr. is picked in the top-10 in this year’s draft.
Here’s the order of the top 18 draft picks in the 2026 NFL Draft:
3 Teams That Could Land Rueben Bain In 2026 NFL Draft
-New York Jets
The New York Jets hold the second and 16th overall picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Jets had just 26 sacks as a team last season and lack productivity chasing the quarterback outside of Will McDonald IV and defensive tackle Jowon Briggs.
The Jets retained defensive-minded head coach Aaron Glenn after some thought he could be let go, and maybe he adds a talented defensive player in Rueben Bain Jr. to his team with one of his first-round picks.
-Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans hold the fourth overall pick in the draft, and could see the three teams in front of them select quarterbacks with their picks. If that’s the case, they would be in prime position to take the most talented defensive player in the draft and could go with Bain Jr. They did hire Robert Saleh, a defensive minded head coach in his second stint.
-Cleveland Browns
Imagine how scary the Cleveland Browns‘ defense can be with Myles Garrett and Rueben Bain Jr. If Bain Jr. makes it out of the top five, the Browns are right there at pick No. 6 to potentially set up one of the best edge rusher duos for years to come in the NFL.
