Is Myles Garrett Going To Lions? Exploring Trade Rumors Surrounding Cleveland Browns Superstar

Could the Detroit Lions make a league-altering move by acquiring the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year in Myles Garrett? Former NFL general manager and current ESPN insider Mike Tannenbaum thinks they should.

On Monday, February 23, Tannenbaum proposed the idea of the Lions adding the star defensive end to pair up with Aidan Hutchinson. Tannenbaum thinks that if the Lions could add Garrett to their defense, he thinks they can be Super Bowl bound next season. This comes even after they missed the postseason this past season.

The only problem is the Browns aren’t in the market to trade Garrett. Yes, they may be entering another rebuild process, but it makes no sense to trade away the best defensive player in the NFL at one of the most valuable positions.

Garrett and the Browns agreed to a four-year, $160 million contract extension in 2025. If there was a time to be traded, it would have been before signing an extension last year with the Browns.

Speaking of the Detroit Lions, they will be playing in Germany next season.

The NFL announced today that the Lions will be one of the two teams to play in Munich, Germany for the 2026-2027 season.

In total, there will be nine games played internationally during the 2026-2027 regular season. The Los Angeles Rams will face NFC West foe the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL’s first-ever game in Melbourne, Australia.

The Dallas Cowboys will face an unannounced opponent in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The New Orleans Saints will host an opponent in Paris, France. The 49ers will play a second game out of the country, being one of the two teams for a game in Mexico City, Mexico.

There will be three London games played with the Jacksonville Jaguars confirmed to be playing at least one game. The NFL will also hold a game in Madrid, Spain.
