Lexi Rodriguez Opened Up About the Exact Moment She Knew She Wanted To Play Volleyball

Lexi Rodriguez recently appeared on the first episode of Maisie Boesiger’s “SheSports the Podcast.” They discussed their time at Nebraska Volleyball, from when they first started playing the sport, how they deal with the pressure, and more.

Amid this, Rodriguez revealed the exact moment she realized that she wanted to play volleyball forever.

“I think when it started to like really feel special is when I switched clubs. So obviously, my sister was older than me, and she had gone to this like club that had better training. It was obviously farther away, but it was just like where we both thought we could go to get better. And I think once I got there and was exposed to this new level, I was like, ‘Wow, like this is what I want to do,” said Lexi Rodriguez.

“This is what I want to play for the rest of my life. And like I want to do like big things.’ And I feel like that was around the age of like 10. Still pretty young, but I was just so in love with volleyball, and I wanted to do as much of it as I could,” she added.

The LOVB Nebraska team and Lexi Rodriguez will next compete on March 13 against LOVB Madison at the Alliant Energy Center.
