Amber Glenn Names Her “Heated Rivalry” Pick and Admits She Views Younger Figure Skating Stars As Her “Children”

The series ‘Heated Rivalry’ has garnered a massive fan following since its release, including Amber Glenn. The 26-year-old revealed the name of her potential heated rival in women’s figure skating. The American recently wrapped up her 2026 Winter Olympics campaign in Milan.

The show, ‘Heated Rivalry,’ is a drama series that is based on the secret romance between NHL rivals Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. The series has been loved by several sports stars, including Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka, and more. Recently, Glenn, who won a gold medal in the Milan-Cortina Games, opened up about her potential heated rival.

Days after concluding her Olympics run, Glenn appeared on the GLAAD Awards Red Carpet, where she was asked about who she thinks she could have a heated rivalry with in figure skating. Admitting that all her competitors are younger than her, she took the name of the retired skater, Gracie Gold.

“Yeah, oh, that’s so hard because, like, I’m considered older in figure skating women, so it’s like my competitors are usually quite a bit younger than me, so they’re my children, they’re not like that. So honestly I feel like it would have been. With Gracie Gold, she’s retired now, but like, that would have been like a great rival, it would have been great. She kind of had one with one of her competitors, but not in that way,” said Amber Glenn.

In her 2026 Winter Olympics campaign, Glenn won a gold medal in the team event, where she scored 138.62 points, contributing eight important points to her team’s gold medal win.

What happened with Amber Glenn in the short skate program at Milan-Cortina?

After winning the gold medal in the team event, Amber Glenn competed at the women’s singles figure skating short skate program, which acted as a qualifier for the free skate finals. The program did not pan out as expected for the American, as she made a serious error in her jump while attempting the triple toe loop. She ended up in the 13th position following this; however, she did qualify for the finals.

In the finals, she did an impressive job, as she took a leap to the fifth position from the 13th by posting an overall score of 214.91. Following her short skate program, she made her feelings known about her shaky performance, stating that it occurred due to lack of balance.

“It wasn’t the pressure that got to me, it was just a literal lack of balance. Like, I just kind of lost my balance for a second. And, you know, stuff happens. I was a little bit noodlely,” said Amber Glenn.

She wrapped up her Olympics campaign by performing in the exhibition gala on February 21. Amber Glenn will next be seen at the World Figure Skating Championships, which will be held in Prague.
