Lexi Rodriguez Pens Emotional Message To LOVB Nebraska Teammates After 2nd Pro Volleyball Season

Lexi Rodriguez made her feelings known about the LOVB Nebraska team after completing two seasons of pro volleyball. The team delivered a historic performance in the 2026 volleyball season.

The team commenced the season on January 8, as they competed against Austin and claimed a 3-2 win. Following this, they delivered several impressive performances and made history by reaching the Sweet 16 for the first time. They competed against LOVB Austin in this round on April 5 and lost 3-2.

Days after concluding this season, Rodriguez weighed in on completing two years of pro volleyball with an emotional message. Taking to her Instagram handle, she posted a bunch of pictures from the season, penning a heartwarming message in the caption. Appreciating her teammates, she wrote:

“My first years of professional volleyball have been truly incredible, and it’s all thanks to the amazing teammates I’ve had for the past 2 years. It’s amazing how 15 women from all around the world can come together to play for the person next to them and try and accomplish something together.”

Making her feelings known about the Sweet 16 loss, she added:

“Although we fell short, I’m so proud of this team and the passion and love we played with throughout the season. Most importantly, I’m honored for the friendships I’ve made and will continue to cherish. This team was special.”

Lexi Rodriguez signed her first contract with LOVB immediately after finishing her senior year with the Nebraska volleyball team in December 2024.

When Lexi Rodriguez opened up about transitioning to pro volleyball

Lexi Rodriguez transitioned to a pro volleyball player after the Nebraska volleyball team lost in the 2024 NCAA semifinals to Penn State. Immediately after this, she signed a deal with League One Volleyball and started playing for LOVB Omaha in 2025.

Shortly after turning pro, she sat for an interview with LOVB Style, where she made her feelings known about transitioning to professional volleyball. Calling it ‘crazy,’ she said that the process was too fast; however, having familiar faces in the team helped her.

“Yeah, it’s definitely crazy. Very fast. I think I had 4-5 days off, and then it was right into a new season. But I mean, being in Omaha was super helpful and then having familiar faces on the team and just a great group of girls, I feel like was the best thing that I could have walked into,” Lexi Rodriguez said.
