Freestyle skier Eileen Gu made a whirlwind trip from London to Texas to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinal between France and Spain in Arlington.
On Tuesday, Gu dropped several pictures from the high-profile semifinal, where Spain ended up beating powerhouse France 2-0. She was dressed up in a red-themed Spain jersey, making it clear who she was supporting.
She posed for a selfie from near the corner seat of the football stadium. There were other pictures from different areas as well, and she seems to have made the most of a long trip. She partnered with the TCL brand, and their logo appeared on her jersey as well.

Gu must have enjoyed it since Spain defeated France 2-0 in the first semifinal. Mikel Oyarzabal converted a penalty in the 22nd minute after Lamine Yamal was fouled in the box. Pedro Porro doubled the lead in the 58th minute following a passing move by Dani Olmo. They are now waiting to see the results of the other semifinal, where Lionel Messi’s Argentina will take on Harry Kane’s England.
Before arriving in Dallas, Gu was at the All England Club. She attended both the women’s and men’s finals at the Wimbledon Championships. She was photographed with fellow sports stars and celebrities and shared photos on Instagram.

Although Eileen Gu was born in the US, her mother is Chinese, so she represented the Asian nation at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
After her Beijing heroics in 2022, Gu added to her Olympic medal tally with three more medals this year. She won silver in Slopestyle and Big Air, and successfully defended her Olympic title in Halfpipe.
These achievements took her all-time Olympics tally to six medals, including three gold and three silver. She has now become the most decorated freestyle skier in Olympic history.
Four years back in Beijing at the age of 18, Gu won two gold medals in Big Air and Halfpipe and a silver in Slopestyle. At the time, she became the first freestyle skier ever to win three medals at a single Winter Olympics.
