Former LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne walked the red carpet in Philadelphia for the MLB All-Star Game with her boyfriend and Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes. The couple turned heads with their coordinated appearances ahead of Tuesday night’s Midsummer Classic at Citizens Bank Park.
The reigning NL Cy Young winner arrived at the venue in a tailored blue suit, American flag-themed tie, and alligator boots. Dunne complemented her boyfriend’s look with a stunning black-and-blue designer dress with a matching blue handbag.
The couple had a lot of fun on the red carpet. One such video is circulating on social media, in which Dunne is teaching Skenes how to pose. She is telling the Pirates pitcher to keep his alignment and his hip straight all the way up. However, Skenes struck a manly pose with both of his hands on his waist. Surely Dunne tried her best to improve Skenes’ pose.
About the outfit, Dunne said she intentionally coordinated hers with Skenes’ patriotic color scheme.
“I tried to match Paul. He told me he was wearing blue. He’s always wearing red, white, or blue. He’s just a patriot, so I had to wear something with a little pop of blue,” she said.
This was Skenes’ third straight All-Star appearance, and Dunne has made sure to accompany him in all of them. He didn’t pitch in the game since he had started for the Pirates just days before the break. However, he participated in the league’s festivities, including the red carpet event, where he and Dunne stopped for interviews about their outfits and busy careers.
Paul Skenes Looking Forward to Seeing Olivia Dunne in New Profession
During the MLB All-Star Game red carpet interview, Olivia Dunne, who exhausted her eligibility with the LSU Tigers, revealed that she has moved on from gymnastics. She has started acting and is enjoying the new field.
“I wish I could, but I already used up five years. I was at LSU for five years,” Dunne said. “I don’t know if anybody wants to see me there. Gymnastics is over. That chapter is closed, but I have a new chapter in my life. I’ve been acting, and I’ve been loving that. It’s a creative outlet for me, and I’ve really enjoyed it.”
The interview turned to Skenes and asked his thoughts on Dunne’s new profession.
“Yeah, I haven’t seen it yet. I’m excited to watch. It’s gonna be cool. She’s loving it, so that’s all that matters,” the Pirates ace said.
Dunne has previously mentioned that she’s not interested in participating in the Olympics in the near future. Moreover, this is consistent with what Livvy told People after wrapping up her college gymnastics career at LSU. She wanted to explore the creative side of the entertainment industry, particularly acting.
Dunne will make her acting debut in the upcoming Baywatch television reboot on Fox. She will play Grace, a highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard. The series will be released during the 2026-27 TV season.
Moreover, she previously appeared in the sports documentary series The Money Game, but it consisted only of interviews and highlights of NIL athletes at Louisiana State University.
