Joscelyn Roberson Transfer Buzz Grows as World Medalist Makes Third Visit to Georgia

After having embarked on two official trips, Joscelyn Roberson has made her third official trip as part of her transfer portal season, this time to the locker rooms of the Georgia GymDogs. Her visit to Athens comes after Roberson first made a trip down to Florida and then to the UCLA Bruins for a second official stop. Many have speculated that the reason behind her GymDogs visit was an attempt to reunite with her former coaches, who are the Landi couple.

Joscelyn Roberson has made a startling mark in the world of gymnastics already, with a stack of accolades that have carved her name among the greats. She was a member of the gold medal-winning team at the 2023 World Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, alongside winning a bronze medal at the 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Her tenure with the Arkansas Razorbacks also sparked her resume to new heights, where she excelled at her floor and beam routines.

Since leaving Arkansas, Roberson has been venturing on official trips to secure her next competitive home. Her visit to Florida offered her a small glimpse of their way of nurturing dual-track NCAA talents. Then she made a trip to UCLA, where she spoke with great delight about their reception and expressed a desire to join the Bruins.

Recently, Roberson has ventured south and stopped at Athens, Georgia, to see what the GymDogs have in store. She took to her social media and penned a story with a puppy named Uga, the live mascot for the GymDogs, holding the “GymDogs” paper with its teeth and saying “Welcome.”

The visit has sparked great buzz, specifically since the GymDogs have acquired elite gymnastics coach Laurent Landi as an assistant to his head coach wife, Cécile Canqueteau-Landi. The Landi couple has trained multiple great gymnasts, including Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, and Roberson.

Joscelyn Roberson Pens a Note on her UCLA Visit

Amidst her trips for bagging a secure program, her second stop at the UCLA Bruins locker had almost sparked a confirmed seat for the former Razorback as she had very enthusiastically praised the West Coast energy alongside their dynamic culture.

“I had SO SO much fun!! Thank you so much to the coaches, girls, and all the faculty for showing me what it meant and would be like to be a bruin!!!”

Her statement also had sparked great reactions, specifically from the former Bruins alumni, Jordan Chiles, who praised her attire and hinted her looks as a great addition to their locker.

It remains to be seen which program stands out as the best for Roberson to commit to, but with her recent visit to Georgia, the scales have tipped to an all-time high, specifically due to a chance reunion with her former coaches.
