    “Shark Tank” Reunion: Bo Bassett Hyped to Join HS Teammate Jax Forrest at Final X as Both Stars Qualify

    With the Wrestling World Team Trials coming to an end, Oklahoma State’s Jax Forrest has once again proven why he is the legit phenom of today’s wrestling world. After a startling loss at the U.S. Open, Forrest laced up his wrestling boots, stepped foot on the mat at Kentucky, and decimated his opponent to advance to the Final X for a shot at representing Team USA at the world stage. Alongside his fans, his buddy and fellow Final X qualifier, Bo Bassett, was in complete awe of Forrest’s performance and penned a high-spirited reaction to the news.

    The World Team Trials was a night to remember that saw multiple weight classes clash for the high-stakes final X position. The Louisville action saw a startling display of dominance from some of the top national collegiate wrestlers, who gave it their all to prove why they deserve to wear the American sleeve on the world stage.

    Among the many great performers was Oklahoma State Cowboys’ Jax Forrest, who exacted a sweet revenge on his US Open opponent Ben Davino, who had beaten Forrest at the April event by a 4–3 decision. Forrest has now reversed the play with a TF 11-1 win in Kentucky and made a bold statement to his Final X contenders.

    Bo Bassett, his high school buddy and professional training partner, congratulated the cowboy on his win, commenting on Forrest’s social media post, which read, “Got the Eye of the Tiger back.” Reacting to the post, Bassett wrote:

    see you soon 🤭

    To which Forrest responded:

    @bo.bassett boom

    Bassett himself is now a contender at the Final X for the 65 kg spot after having punched his way in through his US Open title win. Bishop McCort High School looks on with great pride as a “Shark Tank” reunion with Bassett and Forrest in the Final X is in the making.

    Jax Forrest Talks About His Final X Opponent Marcus Blaze

    The most anticipated duel between Jax Forrest and Marcus Blaze at the Final X in Newark has already created great hype. The two have shared the mat during high school and now, with a new stacked pedigree, are set to blow the stage during the finals. After the world trials win, Forrest spoke about how he feels going against Blaze, highlighting his technicals, while being optimistic about his future.

    “He’s very positionally, he’s hard to through and by, but we haven’t wrestled in years, so it’s one where lotta people are gonna be excited for and lot think that he’s going to win, or am going to win, so we have to beat each other twice, and I am really excited for that one,” said Forrest (1:13).

    With exactly 34 days out from the grandest domestic wrestling collision, both Forrest and Bassett look forward to giving all their national experience a fresh opportunity to shine at the ultimate platform in Newark on June 19.
