Harper Murray and Andi Jackson have paired for the ongoing Nebraska 2026 beach season, earning a massive win in their opening match. In addition, former Husker Campbell Flyn returned to the roster for an exhibition match in the indoor season.

The Nebraska volleyball team opened its beach season on February 23 against Ottawa at the Alloy Strength Complex. They opened the season with a bang, securing an impressive 5-0 sweep over the opponents. All the pairings, including Laney Choboy and Skyler Pierce, Jackson and Murray, Olivia Mauch and Jayden Robinson, Keri Leimbach and Manaia Ogbechie, and Virginia Adriano and Gabby DiVita, delivered a stunning performance.

The showdown commenced with Choboy and Pierce, who gained dominance with a 21-14, 21-9 win. This pair was followed by a clutch performance of Murray and Jackson, who claimed a strong 21-16, 22-20 win. The third win came after Mauch and Robinson defeated another pair from Ottawa, and then Leimbach and Ogbechie, and Adriano and DiVita played significant roles in earning the win.

Along with these rounds, Campbell Flynn, who joined the Huskers in 2025 as a freshman setter and was out of the season due to an injury, returned to the roster for an exhibition match in pairing with Kenna Cogill. They secured a 21-5, 21-11 triumph in an exhibition.

Harper Murray, Andi Jackson, and the entire Nebraska volleyball team will play two matches on February 27 against Wayne State and Trinidad State at the Alloy Strength Complex.

When Harper Murray Made Her Feelings Known About Being a Part of the Nebraska Volleyball Team

Amid the 2025 NCAA championships, Harper Murray sat for a conversation with the Big Ten Conference, where she weighed in on what it means to be part of the Nebraska volleyball team. Talking about the fan base, she said that the Huskers’ fan base has made her what she is today and called herself lucky to be part of the program.

“I think I’m lucky that I’m at a school like Nebraska that has the fan base and tradition that we have here because I think without that, I wouldn’t have been able to build my platform and build my brand. We’re super lucky to have our fans that we do, and every away game feels like a home game for us, and that’s a testament to the loyalty that Nebraska fans have and how deep our fan base goes. Again, like I’m just super lucky that I’m at a place like this that prioritizes women’s sports and I’ve been able to build a brand and a name for myself off of that,” said Harper Murray.
She further opened up about her growth, saying:
“So, it’s been really fun, and I hope volleyball continues to grow. I think it’s super fun to watch. I think it’s super fun to play and learn. So, I’m hoping that it can continue to grow and that my team and myself can be included in the help of that growth.”
Harper Murray recently clarified dating rumors with college basketball player Fletcher Loyer.
