Former Nebraska Volleyball player Lexi Rodriguez recently shared her experience for the upcoming home game with her professional team, the LOVB Nebraska. The team has so far competed in five faceoffs and has dominated two of them.
The LOVB Nebraska opened their 2026 season against LOVB Austin on Wednesday, January 7th, at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. They were forced to drop the season opener after LOVB Austin dominated the faceoff with 3-2. Following the defeat, they faced LOVB Houston on January 11 and dominated the matchup 3-2. The Jordan-Larson-led team last competed against LOVB Atlanta but lost 23-25, 20-25, and 15-25.
As the team heads further into the season, they will compete in the next two faceoffs in their home arena, about which the team’s libero shared her excitement.
“Back at home this weekend 🤩,” Rodriguez wrote

The LOVB Nebraska volleyball team will contend against LOVB Madison on Friday, January 30, at the Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. The arena is owned by the University of Nebraska Omaha, which Rodriguez previously competed for.
The faceoff is scheduled at 7:00 PM CST. Following this, they will lock horns with LOVB Austin on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, at the same venue, at 3:00 PM CST.
Nebraska Volleyball’s Coach Dani Busboom Kelly Makes Her Feelings Known After Being Appointed As Ambassador For LOVB Nebraska
Nebraska Volleyball’s Coach Dani Busboom Kelly opened up about her feelings after she was named as the ambassador for LOVB Nebraska team. The decision was announced on Friday, November 21, 2025.
Coach Busboom Kelly expressed her pride and gratitude in receiving the opportunity. Further, she reflected on the impact of Nebraska Volleyball’s community on her.

Being able to pour back into the next generation, while helping grow professional volleyball in my home state, is something I’m truly grateful for.”
As an ambassador, Coach Busboom Kelly will be expected to contribute to LOVB Nebraska’s mission for community engagement and athlete development initiatives and elevate the state’s rapidly growing volleyball ecosystem.
