“This season isn’t about an ending. It’s about celebrating everything that made the journey possible. After this year, I’ll be stepping away from competitive volleyball, and rather than marking the finish line now, I want to spend this season honoring the people, places, and moments that shaped it all. Every gym, every jersey, every teammate, coach, and fan has played a role, and this year is my way of saying thank you.”

Former Nebraska Player Jordan Larson Makes Her Feelings Known About Qualifying for LOVB Finals
The LOVB Omaha progressed to the final round in 2025 after getting the better of the Houston team. The first two sets were dominated by Houston, but he Omaha squad picked up momentum and won the next three sets (15-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-23, 15-12). Following this heated clash, Jordan Larson sat for a press conference, where she opened up about the match.
Highlighting how anything can happen in this sport, Larson said:
“It’s insane. I was actually talking to Massimo. I played for Massimo back in the day in Turkey, and he’s like, the crazy thing about volleyball is like you can never count anyone out.”
She added:
“At the end of the day, this game has no memory. In the words of Ms. Sue Enquist, the game has no memory. It doesn’t matter. Each point is it’s own new history and why define it based off of what’s happened in the past or a history that you have had and just show up and be in the moment and truly like if you can get your mind there, it’s so beautiful. I think that’s just what makes this sport so cool.”
Jordan Larson has enjoyed an illustrious career of over 15 years as a pro. She won a gold medal at the 2014 FIVB World Championships. She also won three Volleyball National League titles with the US women’s national team in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
