    Ex Nebraska Volleyball Player Lexi Rodriguez Reacts As Jordan Larson Announces Her Retirement From Professional Volleyball

    Former Nebraska Volleyball player Lexi Rodriguez recently reacted to LOVB Nebraska teammate Jordan Larson’s retirement announcement. Larson announced that she would be competing in her last professional season of the LOVB in 2026.

    The LOVB Nebraska started its season on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, and will conclude the regular season on April 4. As Larson announced her decision, Rodriguez shared a post by the LOVB Nebraska on her Instagram story and showed her admiration by adding a crown emoji on her head. She also penned a heartwarming message while showing her confidence in Larson.

    “The Goat. Lets do this thing.”

    Larson is one of the pioneering athletes in American volleyball history. She has been a four-time Olympic medalist. The 39-year-old led the USA team to their first-ever Olympic gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games. At the same Olympics, she was named the MVP and best outside hitter. It was her kill that claimed the historic victory for the team. She also led her team to silver medals in 2012 and 2024 and to a bronze medal in 2016.

    She has led the national team for multiple generations. Larson leading the national team to their first-ever World Championship in 2014 has been a monumental victory. Along with her contribution to the national team, Larson also showed her potential in her home state by competing for the Huskers for four seasons, which earned her the nickname “Governor.” Along with winning the 2006 NCAA Championship title with the Huskers, she has also received the All-American honor thrice.

    Former Nebraska Volleyball Player Lexi Rodriguez reflected on her first pro season, stating that although she felt out of place initially, her teammate Justine Wong-Orantes guided her throughout the season.

    “I was just a fish out of water. I was ready to watch and learn,” Rodriguez said. “ Just watching her (Justine Wong-Orantes) for a full season taught me a lot, and it was really helpful. Obviously now, there’s a spot to be filled, and I’m going to do my best to just do whatever I can for this team.”

    In her first pro season with LOVB Nebraska, Rodriguez competed in 10 matches and registered 37 digs.
