Final X Match Order Revealed: Bo Bassett and Other Top Wrestlers Face Delays; World Championships on the Line

Final X 2026 is just a day away from going live at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and the lineup promises an intense battle for the ages right from 57 kg to 125 kg. While the excitement remains intact, a few highly anticipated matchups, particularly the 65 kg showdown between Bo Bassett and Real Woods, had to be postponed due to medical delays.

The Final X features a best-of-three series, where each wrestler must win at least two matches against their opponent to claim the series. If they do, they secure a coveted spot on the Team USA roster to represent the country at the 2026 World Championships.

After the release of the final schedule, a few notable medical delays have been reported. According to USA Wrestling, World Medalists Real Woods, Kennedy Blades, and Kylie Welker have requested medical delays. As per the norms of the 2026 World Team Trials Qualification & Procedures for men’s and women’s freestyle, only a returning senior world medalist, who earned an automatic berth into Final X, can request a medical delay. Since all three wrestlers fit that bracket, they were able to justify their delay.

It remains to be seen when the committee determines a new date and location to reschedule the highly anticipated showdowns. The rest of the event is still stacked and the official order of the matchups has been revealed.
