Femke Bol Left In Awe As Madame Tussauds Unveils Her Wax Statue

World champion Dutch runner Femke Bol recently reacted to her newly unveiled wax statue with complete awe. Bol was in disbelief as she gave a strong reaction to seeing a different version of herself being unveiled in front of the world.

Madame Tussauds, the famous wax museum, is known for creating faithfully rendered statues of many prominent figures and has just unveiled one of Bol’s in Amsterdam. The statue is displayed as a replica of Bol, capturing every small detail that makes the creation strikingly lifelike.

The statue shows Bol smiling, with her left arm raised up in the air, donning the classic runner’s jersey, which has her initials printed on it in bold. Bol took to her social media and lauded the creation, calling it “Absolutely crazy”. She thanked Madame Tussauds, alongside mentioning how incredible her day had been since the revelation.

She can also be seen posing alongside her statue with a smile, writing on the photo, “Such an honor,” with a few emojis. She also wrote:

“The world needs more Femke’s, and now we have 2.”

Olympic gold medalist runners Keely Hodgkinson and Gabby Thomas have also reacted to the news with shock and have called the creation incredible.

Femke Bol’s Possible Return on Tracks Post Injury

As she made her 800m race debut in February, Femke Bol met with a critical injury that forced her to end the indoor season early. She had suffered a tendon issue in her foot during her indoor training camp. The injury has already prevented her from racing at the Meeting International de Liévin, an annual indoor track and field competition organized by World Athletics.

However, the camp has seen a silver lining since her coach, Laurent Meuwly, highlighted the camp’s new approach to training and mentioned how Bol has been training hard on the ropes. He also mentioned how cautious they are being to avoid a relapse, as that is something widely common during a comeback from injury.

The camp is optimistic about seeing Bol run in the upcoming outdoor season, provided the camp’s schedule proceeds normally.
