Former Nebraska Volleyball Player Maisie Boesiger Opens Up About Watching The Big Red Team Compete In Beach Season Following Her Retirement
Former Nebraska Volleyball Player Maisie Boesiger opened up about watching the Huskers compete in beach volleyball season after concluding her collegiate career. In the first episode of SheSports the Podcast, which she hosts, she said she feels empty now that she isn’t part of the team.
“We’re both retired now, Nebraska. Yeah. How sad. First of all, at first it didn’t really feel real for me because I was at Christmas break. Like I was at home. It is just kind of normal. That’s what we do every year after season. But then I’ve been starting to see everyone’s posts online in Nebraska volleyball. They’re in beach season, and I’m like, ‘Oh, wait. Yeah, I’m really not there. I’m not going back.’ That is sad,” said Maisie Boesiger (22:16 onwards).
Boesiger once highlighted that she misses the interactions with her teammates the most after her retirement.
