Bo Nickal Drops Josh Hokit College Wrestling Revelation Following UFC 327 Miami Record Win

Bo Nickal recently recalled his fight with Josh Hokit, shortly after the latter’s UFC 327 victory. Both wrestlers are elite-level and have now turned into MMA fighters after notable wrestling careers.

Hokit’s latest appearance on the mat was on April 11, where he competed at UFC 327 in Miami. Here, he bested Curtis Blaydes by unanimous decision in R3 05:00. Following this victory, he is now scheduled to compete against Derrick Lewis at the UFC Freedom 250 event, which will take place at the White House on June 14, 2026.

Shortly after his win against Blaydes, another MMA player, Nickal, dropped a college wrestling revelation, opening up about their bout at the 2019 NCAA Wrestling Championships. They locked horns with each other in the 197 lbs, where Nickal, who competed for Penn State, won the showdown against Hokit, who represented Fresno State, by fall in 2:28.

Talking about this clash, the former Penn State wrestler took to X, writing:

“Josh Hokit was the only guy I wrestled my senior year of college who actually tried to beat me and not just stall.”

Hokit opened his 2026 season on January 24, 2026, at UFC 324, where he faced Denzel Freeman.

What Did Josh Hokit Say After His Win Against Curtis Blaydes?

After delivering a staunch performance at UFC 327 against Curtis Blaydes, Josh Hokit gave an unexpected speech in the post-fight interview, taking a dig at Alex Pereira. Dropping an unfiltered speech, he said:

“To the Miami Mama Sita, my bath water tastes like a sweet margarita. So what is there not to like when I pick up the mic, a puppy comes back to life. And when it’s time to get lady, you know I can get jiggy. My electric slide can power this whole damn city. I’m the one that runs his mouth and wears dirty shoes in your house just to say, f*** your couch. And last time, I’ll leave with this. I took my own horn and beat my own drum. But if you think you can beat me at a fist fight, boy is you du*b? And PS, Alex Pereira, Chama these n*ts,” said Josh Hokit.

Josh Hokit has not won a major championship title in the UFC so far; however, he earned a contract through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2025 and has also won a CIF state wrestling championship in high school.
