New England Patriots left tackle Will Campbell’s 2026 has seen its ups and downs, beginning with a playoff run he will always remember. However, fans and the Seattle Seahawks left him with a Super Bowl to forget. His life is seemingly back on the right track with another big move, this time with his longtime girlfriend, Ashlynn Nussmeier.
Nussmeier and Campbell got engaged on Thursday, according to an announcement post on Instagram from Nussmeier’s account. The carousel included five pictures of the couple, including one of Campbell dropping to one knee to ask Nussmeier to marry him. The location and use of a photographer on a photogenic rooftop suggested that the move was planned out in advance.
“5.23.2026,” she posted. “Here’s to us !!! A love I’ve always prayed for! In full gratitude for the Lord’s perfect timing and story. Can’t wait to do life with you!!!🤍”
Nussmeier expressed thrill at joining Campbell’s family permanently. However, she did not announce any wedding plans or dates. The dedicated post was her second since posting a picture with Campbell on Jan. 26, shortly after learning that the Patriots would be going to the Super Bowl.
Will Campbell and Ashlynn Nussmeier’s Post Draws Comments From Maye Family
Will Campbell and Ashlynn Nussmeier’s engagement post on Instagram drew plenty of attention, including from New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. Drake and his wife, Ann Michael Maye, gave their congratulations to the 2025 first-round pick and his fiancée in the comments section of the post.
“Congrats guys!” Drake Maye commented.
“Congratulations!!!!! 🥹🥹🥹🥹 So happy for you guys❤️,” Ann Michael Maye posted.

Meanwhile, Campbell also responded to Nussmeier’s post.
“Wifey,” he wrote.
Fans responded to Campbell’s comment and congratulated him on the engagement.
While things are looking up for Campbell off the field, the New England Patriots’ addition of tackle Caleb Lomu in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft offers reason for questions about Campbell’s long-term future with the team.
Still, for the moment, Will Campbell has plenty on his plate with the addition of a fiancée to his family roster.
