The Chiefs’ rookie quarterback Garrett Nussmeier’s sister Ashlynn just got engaged to the Patriots’ left tackle Will Campbell.
Both Garrett and Campbell spent two years at LSU together, so the Patriots star’s and Ashley’s paths crossed during that timeline.
In one of her TikTok videos, Ashlynn shared that it was Garrett who advised her to give his teammate, Campbell, a shot.
Reacting to the engagement news, Garrett took to Instagram and called Campbell his brother-in-law while congratulating his sister and telling her, “I love you.”
Garrett’s fiancee, Ella, also took a moment to celebrate the newly engaged couple’s news and said her favorite people are going to get married, predicting that Ashlynn will be the most beautiful bride ever.
“Who is she rooting for in the chiefs game tho 😂.” One fan reacted.
“Dating your qbs sister is weird and thats why he kinda sucks.” Another fan said.
“I’m guessing Garrett’s sister? That has to be awkward, marrying your buddies sister. He’s a multi millionaire, 6+ foot tall, and he chooses the awkward situation over the literal millions of women who would crawl on broken glass for him.” Another fan wrote.
“Hope he protects her better than he did Drake Maye! Maybe move him to the right side of the bed after you get married.” another fan shared their thoughts.
“Is she the sister of the qb nussmeier how sweet they are so cute.” Another fan commented.
“nussmeier? football family loading congrats.” Another fan predicted.
Garrett Nussmeier Expresses Excitement About Playing With the Chiefs
Garrett Nussmeier was one of the most hyped-up players ahead of the 2025 college football season; however, he ended up playing just 9 games because of his abdominal injury that majorly affected his draft stock.
Nussmeier ended up getting picked by the Chiefs as the 249th overall selection in the 7th round.
Talking about what are some of the things he is looking forward to learning, Nussmeier shared that he is happy to be around head coach Andy Reid, who is among the best football coaches out there.
“I think just growing up around the game and just understanding football. Being taught at a young age what a quarterback’s supposed to do (and) what it’s supposed to look like, just trying to fill that role (and) do everything I can to get to know my teammates and get to know some of these guys I’ve never played with before.” Nussmeier spoke on using his leadership skills.
Nussmeier ended the 2025 season with 1,927 passing yards and scored 12 touchdowns against 5 interceptions.
