Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season, as he continues to recover from a torn ACL in his right knee suffered last season. This, according to reports by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
This report was seemingly confirmed by his public appearance jumping and kicking beers on stage with singer Luke Combs, alongside other Packers players and coach Matt LaFleur, on Friday night.
Kraft is about to enter his fourth season in the NFL, all of them with the NFC’s Green Bay Packers. He played 17 games each in 2023 and 2024, although he only started eight of those 17 games in his rookie year. In 2024, he settled as a starter, being a starter in every game he played. In 2025, due to injury, he only played in eight games, all of them as a starter.
Speaking on May 14th in ESPN’s ‘Get Up’, Schefter said the following about the Packers tight end:
“They are expecting Tucker Kraft back at the start of the season,” Schefter said.
2024 has been his best overall season so far, with him having 707 receiving yards with seven touchdowns in 50 receptions. He also logged one fumble. Last year, he managed to accrue 489 receiving yards, with six touchdowns, 32 receptions, despite his injury. Arguably his most efficient year, if not the best overall.
Micah Parsons could lose the early part of the 2026 season, says Adam Schefter
Linebacker Micah Parsons, who is also recovering from an ACL injury suffered in the latter part of the 2025 season, is a completely different case, says Adam Schefter. The star defensive player is expected to miss a significant part of the season in the opening weeks. Here’s what he had to say about it on ‘Get Up’ this past week:
“The feeling within the organization has been that Parsons would miss the early part of the season and be back early on,” Schefter said. “He’ll be a candidate to be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list. So heard three to four games potentially missed.”
Parsons got injured on December 14th, more than a week after Kraft, whose season ended on November 2nd. Micah Parsons’ injury was also more influential to the team’s comings and goings, as Green Bay wouldn’t win any games without the star linebacker.
