Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, had been making waves as a podcaster thanks to her , “The Morning After” podcast. The show had become popular but Kelly managed to shock fans all over as she abruptly canceled her own show, even though it had garnered a massive following.
She revealed that she canceled her own show due to mental health reasons, saying that she dreaded how her words could get twisted by others. These episodes of her constant anxiety usually happen in the hours leading to her recording her show.
“What I don’t miss is the anxiety I used to get the night before every episode was released wondering what headline was going to be created from the episode,” she said. “It just felt like my name was in the headlines every week and that is not what I wanted this podcast for. So that is a big reason why I took a break. I needed a mental break.”
Kelly Stafford began the podcast back in 2021 and co-hosted it with Emmy-winning Detroit television reporter Hank Winchester. They often talked about various topics, from her daily life being married to an NFL quarterback to various gameday experiences to becoming a parent and everything in-between. It even had a few big guests, including Matthew Stafford himself.
She initially paused her podcast to take a short break .However, she never came back to host it and now, Kelly Stafford has made the final decision to finally cancel it entirely.
Matthew Stafford’s Wife, Kelly, Has Not Ruled Out Returning to Podcasting
Despite completely cancelling her “The Morning After” podcast, Kelly Stafford has not ruled out returning to host another podcast. During a Q&A on Instagram. she admitted she also misses hosting and is leaving the door open for a return,
“I really do miss it,” she said. “I think you can do a lot of good with a podcast if you do it right. So I’m trying to figure out what that looks like and still be super enjoyable for you all. So stay tuned on that. I’m working on it. And once there is a decision that I’ve made, I promise you, you’ll know.”
For now, her husband, Matthew Stafford is still relaxing as the Rams get ready for a new season. Whether she would return with a new podcast is still up to her to decide.
