With the new league year beginning next month, teams will discuss with each other potential trades and rumors at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana at the end of the month.
With the new league year almost here, let’s explore five NFL trades that could happen this offseason.
Top 5 NFL Trades That Could Shake up 2026 Season
#5 – AJ Brown reunites with Mike Vrabel in New England for a 2nd & 5th-round pick
This trade makes all the sense in the world. AJ Browns has hinted and said expressed his frustrations in Philly publicly, and a fresh start could benefit him. The Patriots have the cap to extend him and he could be the missing piece to their young, talented offense that desperately needs a WR1.
#4 – Philadelphia Acquires star edge rusher Maxx Crosby for 1st and 3rd-round picks
It’s been known for quite some time that Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby is a hot trade candidate this offseason. The Philadelphia Eagles appear to be a favorite to land him, and we’ve seen Philly be very aggressive with acquiring players in the past. Howie Roseman may have a trick up his sleeve in acquiring one of the most talented defensive players in the NFL.
#3 – George Pickens tag-and-trade to the Las Vegas Raiders for a 2nd-round pick
The Dallas Cowboys may not be able to extend George Pickens, who will likely break the bank this offseason after a career season in last year. The Cowboys can however franchise tag him, and trade them if they chose to. The Las Vegas Raiders have the capital to pay Pickens and could add a talented WR to its young, emerging offense.
#2 – LA Rams trade one of their first-round picks for Trent McDuffie
It’s not often that a Sean McVay Los Angeles Rams team has a first-round pick, let alone two. The Rams desperately need to upgrade the cornerback position, and they do so by sending one of its first-round picks to the Kansas City Chiefs, who need help now, for their talented CB, Trent McDuffie.
#1 – Kyler Murray gets a new start, being traded to the NY Jets for 1st-round pick
The New York Jets need a new quarterback and the Arizona Cardinals have been non-committal to Kyler Murray for this upcoming season. Either they draft one with one of their first-round picks or acquire Murray from the Cardinals and try him out for a year or two in NY.
