Jim Harbaugh’s daughter is taking full advantage of the summer. Grace Harbaugh’s latest Instagram story shows the former Michigan Wolverines water polo player enjoying herself at Laguna Beach, California.
The stories show Grace Harbaugh with friends at Laguna Beach, including a candid selfie. Laguna Beach is a neighborhood in the Los Angeles metro area, about an hour from downtown.
With her father currently preparing the Los Angeles Chargers for the 2026 season, it’s easy to conclude that she’s there to be near Jim Harbaugh during her summer vacations.
Grace Harbaugh studied at the University of Michigan while her father led the school’s football program. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History in 2023 and immediately went to the university’s famous Ross School of Business, where she graduated with a Master of Management in 2024.
She currently works at the PGA Tour as an associate of player relations and special programs.
Jim Harbaugh was the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines from 2015 to 2023, leading them to a national title in his final season in Ann Arbor. He left college football with the possibility of a lifetime ban due to a series of investigations into recruiting violations and the famous sign-stealing scandal that overshadowed his last season and saw him banned for half a season.
Harbaugh had arrived at Michigan after a somewhat successful first stint in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers between 2011 and 2014.
At Michigan, he also won three Big Ten championships, and he was named the 2022 Big Ten Coach of the Year.
Jim Harbaugh’s birthday message to Grace Harbaugh
Grace Harbaugh turned 26 on June 27. Her dad, Jim Harbaugh, jumped on Instagram that day to wish her a happy birthday. She was born one day ahead of her grandfather’s birthday, on June 28, and Jim Harbaugh’s caption on his Instagram post reflected the importance of both dates to him:
“Happy Birthday Grace Harbaugh (6/27) and Jack Harbaugh (6/28)! The highest love and respect for my Dad and oldest daughter, two of the all time greats at lighting up a room with their smile and attacking each day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind! ❤️🫵,” wrote Jim Harbaugh.
The post included a couple of pictures: the first a selfie of Jim and Grace Harbaugh, and the second an illustration of Jack Harbaugh’s coaching career highlights.
