Todd Monken Brings Another Key Ravens Staffer to the Browns, Days After Replacing Kevin Stefanski

After replacing the Cleveland Browns’ longtime head coach, Kevin Stefanski, earlier this week, new head coach Todd Monken has already begun reinforcing his coaching staff, with reportedly two more Ravens staffers set to join the Browns ahead of the 2026 season.

Monken kicked off his hiring spree after signing the likes of Travis Switzer and Danny Breyer as their new offensive and pass game coordinators, respectively. Both Switzer and Breyer served under Harbaugh during his time as the Ravens’ head coach.

Meanwhile, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson has broken the news of Monken uniting with Ian Kolste, the Ravens’ former offensive analyst. While his new position at the Browns is still unclear, it sure seems like Monken is trying to bring back a lot of the Ravens’ former staff with all his might to the Cleveland-based franchise.

NFL insider Tom Pelissero has also reported how the Baltimore Ravens’ assistant quarterback coach and director of football strategy, Daniel Stern, is being interviewed by the Browns for a potential assistant head coach gig.

This reported mass migration of the former Ravens staff comes on the backdrop of their longtime head coach, John Harbaugh, leaving his 18-year tenure with the Baltimore-based franchise after the end of the 2025 NFL season to join the New York Giants on a five-year deal in January 2026.

Monken Shares Hilarious Moment with QB Shedeur Sanders After Browns Appointment

After becoming the Cleveland Browns’ 19th head coach last Wednesday, it seems like Todd Monken has already started to gel with some of the Browns’ players.

In a hilarious interaction between Monken and Browns’ Pro Bowl QB Shedeur Sanders, the former was seen telling Shedeur how he tried to draft Sanders during his time as the Ravens’ OC last year.

“We tried to draft your a**” he told Shedeur Sanders. “It’s all worked out. You remember that, right? Someday we’ll get a chance to talk about that”, Monken stated in a hilarious interaction with Shedeur (0:13).

The 2025 Draft saw the Baltimore Ravens deciding to pass up on quarterback Shedeur Sanders despite having the 141st pick. The decision could have perhaps been influenced by the presence of Lamar Jackson already being a part of the side. The Browns eventually scooped him up as their 144th pick.
