Stefon Diggs’ dream of winning the Super Bowl was crushed last Sunday by the Seattle Seahawks. The New England Patriots’ wide receiver joined the team last year and played a crucial role in getting his team to the Super Bowl.
Other than the loss, Diggs also made headlines over his alleged split from girlfriend, Cardi B. After the Super Bowl, some fans noticed that Diggs and Cardi had unfollowed each other on Instagram, hinting that they’ve broken up.
So far, they haven’t confirmed or denied the rumors. Fans are still waiting to know what happened between the two. Amid the speculations, Cardi B was seen at a Super Bowl after-party with acclaimed singer and songwriter Ciara, who is married to Russell Wilson.
Ciara recently posted a media dump on Instagram, showing snippets from the party. In one of the pictures, she posed with Cardi and La La Anthony, the ex-wife of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony.
Ciara’s husband, Teyana Taylor, Gunna, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Odell Beckham Jr, and others were also seen in Ciara’s media dump. Likely, Diggs wasn’t at the party.
The Patriots’ wide receiver was marred in controversies throughout the season. From legal troubles to personal controversies, Diggs had a lot going on in his personal life while he was helping the Patriots reach the Super Bowl.
The rumors about his breakup with Cardi B add another chapter to a hectic stretch he has had in his personal life. As of now, it’s not confirmed that they’ve split. Diggs and Cardi welcomed a child together last year. Whenever he spoke about his girlfriend, Diggs sounded hopeful about a future with the rapper.
Cam Newton Believes Stefon Diggs and Cardi B Will Get Back Together
The rumor about their breakup is being widely discussed among fans and in the media. Diggs and Cardi are one of the power couples in the NFL. On a recent episode of 4th&1 with Cam Newton, the former NFL star also chimed in.
Unlike others who are only discussing their possible split, Newton stated that the couple is going to get back together. His reasoning, however, is questionable.
“The first time you break up with somebody, it don’t count because everybody in a relationship needs to experience that makeup s*x,” he said.
Several media reports also hinted at Diggs and Cardi rekindling their relationship soon.
