Tyler Higbee has seen challengers come and go. However, the Los Angeles Rams tight end is still on the roster heading into the postseason. While he has been able to handle competition throughout his career, he has hit a bump in the road due to his health.
Here’s a look at whether Higbee will be able to suit up to face the Carolina Panthers in the opening round of the playoffs.
Tyler Higbee Injury Update
According to the official Los Angeles Rams injury report, Tyler Higbee was limited in practice on Tuesday and Wednesday with an ankle injury. However, on Friday, Higbee was able to log a full practice and is no longer on the injury report.
All signs point toward the tight end suiting up to face Carolina, but the LP/LP/FP regimen was a downgrade from his Week 18 practice log, in which he practiced in full. It will be something to monitor as the game progresses.
It is worth noting that Higbee’s Week 18 performance against the Arizona Cardinals was his best performance all season long, with five catches for 91 yards and a touchdown.
Higbee has earned 25 catches for 281 yards and three touchdowns in ten games of action this season.
Important Tyler Higbee Teammates At Risk Of Missing Panthers Clash
Tyler Higbee isn’t the only tight end battling injuries. Terrance Ferguson is listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury. Additionally, wide receiver Jordan Whittington’s knee injury has knocked him out of the contest.
Davante Adams is set to return to the fold for his first action since Dec. 14. The 33-year-old receiver will be a name to watch as someone many have predicted could swing the tide of the contest.
Either way, Higbee could be in line for another bump in usage with injuries dotting the pass-catching room.
