After suffering a season-ending injury, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby had been taking subtle shots at his team that hinted that he was actually not that hurt. However, he has also celebrated his teammates’ achievements, sending mixed signals on whether he wants to leave or not. Crosby himself has stated that he does not want to focus on the drama and just focus on playing the game.
Despite the apparent drama, reports indicate that the Raiders have no plans to trade Maxx Crosby, and he is seen to remain in Las Vegas for the 2026 season. This is from Las Vegas Raiders general manager John Spytek himself.
Crosby was reportedly frustrated with the Raiders after being placed on the injured reserve as the season wound down. The move itself was believed to be a play to secure the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL draft, which the Raiders eventually got.
During last season, Maxx Crosby recorded 45 solo tackles, 10 sacks and one interception, along with two forced fumbles. Because of this defensive prowess, Spytek revealed that they want to keep him over at Las Vegas and that he is very confident that the DE will remain there.
“Maxx is an elite player,” the Raiders GM said. “I’ve been very up front from the start when I got here: We’re in the business of having very good players on the team, and we need a lot more of them. It’s hard to build an elite team without them. Maxx and I have had great conversations, I’m comfortable there, yeah.”
Where Would Maxx Crosby Go If the Las Vegas Raiders Trade Him?
While the team’s GM is confident that Maxx Crosby is not leaving anytime soon, there are still rumors that the Raiders are planning to trade him anyway.
Reports indicate that if it were up to Crosby, the defensive end would want to be traded to the New England Patriots, as he had been wanting to play for Mike Vrabel. The Pats might bite too, as they need an elite pass rusher to shore up their defense as K’Lavon Chaisson is set to head to free agency.
Another possible destination would be the Philadelphia Eagles, as the team is also in need of an elite pass rusher.
