Cardi B’s relationship with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs and her pregnancy were one of the more interesting off-field stories of the 2025 NFL season. At one point, it seemed the Grammy Award winner and the NFL star had found love in their lives. That was followed by rumors of their breakup following the Super Bowl in mid-February.
Now, it seems the couple has reconciled as photos have become public of the pair together at the Diggs Deep Foundation’s Mother’s Day event. Cardi B gave birth to their kid, a baby believed to be called Brim, on November 13th, 2025. It seems normal that the couple would celebrate Mother’s Day together.
However, the photos seemingly show a bit more as the wide receiver is seen affectionately hugging the rapper, while she giggles, which implies some level of comfort between them.
During a stop of the Little Miss Drama Tour in Los Angeles on February 15, 2026, Cardi B confirmed that she wasn’t with Stefon Diggs at the time. According to some sources, the split stemmed from alleged infidelities by the wide receiver, and they finally boiled over a disagreement about whether or not she would get invited to some team activities ahead of Super Bowl LX, where other wives of the team were set to attend.
Stefon Diggs legal troubles in 2025 and 2026
It’s important to note that in the meantime, Stefon Diggs has gone through legal troubles, including a paternity lawsuit by influencer Aileen Lopera, which was dropped in January 2026 after a DNA test confirmed that the player is the father of Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera.
He was also accused of a felony charge of strangulation, and misdemeanor charges of assault and battery by Jamila “Mila” Adams, his personal chef, who alleged the NFL star slapped her and choked her over an argument regarding unpaid wages in December 2025. He was arraigned on January 23rd, with the trial taking place between May 4th and 5th. The jury took only 90 minutes to arrive at a non-guilty verdict.
Stefon Diggs’ representatives maintain the allegations were fabricated to extract money from him. The wide receiver is also currently without a team, as he was cut by the Patriots in March.
