3 Burning Questions Remaining For Los Angeles Rams After OTAs

#1 – How Much Will Ty Simpson Be Prioritized?

Sean McVay has notoriously kept his starters out of the preseason. As such, expect Ty Simpson to see plenty of work with Stafford watching from the sideline. However, the question is how much work Simpson will receive in practice. Will the quarterback get any work in practice with the first team, and if so, how much?

The answer could speak volumes about how aggressive the Rams want to be about the quarterback room in the immediate future as the rubber meets the road.

#2 – Will Aaron Donald Dust Off His Cleats?

The addition of Myles Garrett was a blockbuster move in its own right, but it may have created a positive chain reaction. Shortly after Garrett’s move was announced, rumors and speculation ran rampant that Aaron Donald could return to the Rams for a Super Bowl push. Donald, 35, would look to have a season not unlike the Saints’ star pass rusher Cameron Jordan, who earned 10.5 sacks in an age of 36 in 2025 season (Pro Football Reference).

Donald will also have the opportunity, for the first time in a decade, to regularly be set up for one-on-one opportunities with all eyes on Garrett at the line of scrimmage. If any movement is going to happen, it will likely occur in the next month, shortly before training camp.

#3 – Will Puka Nacua Receive A New Deal?

According to Spotrac, Puka Nacua is heading into the final year of his deal. The Rams can push things to the edge and use a franchise tag in 2026 amid his off-the-field troubles, but a new deal appears to be the conventional move. The next month will be an optimal time to get something done and avoid ruffling his feathers. However, a deal could also happen during training camp.

Either way, it will be something to watch for a team with Super Bowl aspirations, as the road to February runs through Nacua’s driveway.
