Miley Cyrus is the favorite to headline the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show, says NFL insider Dov Kleiman. This is based on the odds of the prediction market, Polymarket.
Fans were split on this possibility, with some fans really backing the possibility while others just couldn’t get excited for it. Supporters, however, were extremely vocal.
“Miley Cyrus halftime show would be an iconic Super Bowl moment,” wrote one fan
“It’s way overdue for the nfl to bring back rock n roll to the bowl.. we r clearly fed up with alll the past garbage ass shows..there was only (1) good half time show in the past 10 yrs & that was prince.. bring back rock n roll..,” explained another person
“Great, she has plenty of time to cover herself completely in tats and write some new good music.,” joked another fan
Other fans just weren’t that into the idea of Miley Cyrus headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
“That’s so awful,” said someone else
“If it’s true, it will be another half time show I will skip,” claimed one fan
A few fans came to terms with the fact that they will probably never get their perfect Super Bowl Halftime Show.
“I’d rather see Metallica for 20 minutes, but I have come to grips with the fact that we’re not going to get that halftime show,” said one individual
“Not great but would be an upgrade compared to the last several years,” admitted one person
“It would be the best halftime show in many years but would still suck,” said someone ironically
Miley Cyrus on the possibility of playing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show
This is not a new rumor, with Cyrus having been a favorite to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show since late February. In an interview with Vanity Fair in March, the artist herself opened up about the possibility, and she didn’t seem thrilled:
“I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure,” Cyrus, 33, told the outlet.
“I would have to do the mental work of making it not about the Super Bowl, because then you can’t help but go, ‘It’s millions of people, and it’s the most-watched thing in the world.”
However, she admitted that if she were given free rein over the event and allowed to make the performance a retelling of her career, from her beginnings, she could see herself doing it. The question is whether the NFL would allow her to do this or not.
