Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot has been getting a lot of heat over her claims that Deshaun Watson is coming out of the voluntary mini camp with an edge over Shedeur Sanders.
Cabot also advised Todd Monken to name Watson as the QB1 already, noting that the Browns head coach is aiming to name his quarterback till June.
Both fans and even Shedeur Sanders’ brother, Shilo, were left agonised with this advice and claim, with the former Bucs player even dropping a bizzare comment for Cabot.
Sanders wrote “Go make me a sandwich” for Cabot on a post on Instagram, which wasn’t received well by the fans.
“Stupid comment. Both ignorant and misogynistic. I’m sure Coach Prime has said as much to him directly,” one fan reacted.
“Shilo running his mouth will get his brother on a seat in the living room next to him. i hope he gets cut,” another fan said.
“Mary has a job. Maybe Shilo should learn to make sandwiches and finally serve a purpose in life,” another fan wrote.
“Right look if it’s a comp let the best man win but don’t sit here after the last few yrs where Watson looked terrible and act.like on voluntary mini camp he’s the starter he wouldn’t be in this position if he lived up the hype of his contract,” another fan pointed out.
“Nope when she told Sheduer to bark out plays to Shilo b/c she was making it seem like he couldn’t understand the playbook.. she is fair game..” another fan defended her.
“Thats not gonna help his brother lol he shouldnt do that,” another fan added.
Andrew Berry Sets Expectations Straight From Shedeur Sanders in Year 2
While Andrew Berry concerned fans over his statement on wanting to select Ty Simpson ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, he has expressed faith in Shedeur Sanders ahead of the season while also setting up expectations from him.
During a recent interview, Berry said that he expects Sanders to take another step and keep growing and learning, while acknowledging that he had a nice offseason.
Berry shared that Sanders did a nice job at voluntary mini camp and has shown improvement in decision making.
“I think his improvements in decision making and pocket management by the end of the year and certainly what we’ve seen so far in a very short spring have been positive,” Berry said.
Berry further added he expects Sanders to have more command of the offense and better ball security in Year 2.
