Shedeur Sanders is hardly away from the news spotlight and this time around, things seem to have been taken to the next level.
It all started when Cleveland reporter Mary Kay Cabot tweeted out that Deshaun Watson deserved to be QB1 at the Browns ahead of Shedeur, drawing the ire of Shedeur’s brother Shilo Sanders, whose “make a sandwich” remark has sparked reactions online.
Fans have been quick to take sides in the argument, but the ones that supported Shilo and indeed Shedeur too, have found another piece of evidence to suggest that Mary Kay Cabot may have taken a veiled dig again at the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback.
The “diploma” vs “degree” debate has opened up a can of worms online, with many saying the disrespect was clear in Cabot’s tweet, with her knowing what will end up getting the most views.
Todd Monken Speaks Out Amid Controversy
Cleveland Browns’ head coach has also spoken out about the QB1 spot amid all the buzz around who is first choice. Todd Monken is clear that the spot is up for grabs and the best one will get it if they do things right.
“If it wasn’t talked about, I sure as hell wouldn’t get paid what I get paid,” he said.
“So that’s part of what we do. But if that’s going to bother me or it’s going to bother Shedeur or Deshaun, they have no chance of being either the head coach here or the quarterback at the Cleveland Browns. I mean, for God’s sake, it’s the world we live in.”
