“Drunk Photos”: Former NFL Safety’s Concerns About Diego Pavia’s Future Resurface After Draft Snub

Diego Pavia is probably the most disappointed man in the United States of America after what transpired at the NFL Draft over three days.

The Vanderbilt man made some unwanted history, becoming the first Heisman Trophy finalist to go unselected at the NFL Draft since 2014. The quarterback’s incredible 2025 run probably gave him enough confidence to make a claim for all the teams in the NFL, but he’s ultimately fallen well short of his goal.

Now, to compound matters, Pavia’s attitude and general apathy towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle has been blamed in a resurfaced post by a former NFL star.

That’s right, former NFL safety Tyrann Mathieu called it a long time back that he didn’t have the faith that Diego Pavia was doing all the right things to get noticed, and it appears Mathieu’s been proven right.

“He’s just a little bit sidetracked. He’s been on too many podcasts for me … too many UFC fights, too many drunk photos. That’s not what people want to see at the next level,” Mathieu said.

Pavia’s Draft Party Turns Out to be a Bust

Diego Pavia was in every mood to celebrate being picked up at the NFL Draft, but came in for a rude awakening after no team decided to take a chance on him.

Photos from his draft party have since surfaced on social media, and only make the scene more embarrassing for the 24-year-old.
