It’s been an interesting week for New England Patriots fans regarding their opinions on former NFL great, Tom Brady.
The man that helped bring six Super Bowls to the Patriots’ franchise has been under fire this week for his remark on who he’s rooting for in the Super Bowl. Via his podcast, ‘Let’s Go!’ with Jim Gray, Maye said he ‘doesn’t have a dog in the fight in this one’ and said let the best team win.
Naturally, Patriots fans were upset at Brady not rooting for the team that he spent 20 seasons with. Many in the football world including ex and current Patriots called out Brady for his stance.
To make things even more awkward this week, fans noticed that Brady unfollowed the Patriots account on Instagram earlier this week. However, he quietly refollowed them on the app.
Tom Brady Show Support to New England Patriots Amid His ‘No Dog In Fight’ Remark
Tom Brady knew he was under heat this week for his comments about who he want to win and for unfollowing the New England Patriots on Instagram.
However, just yesterday, (Friday) he showed support to Patriots owner Robert Kraft on Instagram. Brady shared a story of a picture of the two with the caption, “You know I got your back RKK. Get that 7th ring so we can match.”
Is this Brady’s way of making up for his comment earlier this week? Maybe. But regardless, Brady is an NFL color commentator and minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, so it may be tough for him to express his true love for the Patriots right now.
