The Cleveland Browns and newly appointed head coach Todd Monken currently face a dilemma over their starting quarterback for the upcoming season. With Deshaun Watson returning from injury and Shedeur Sanders proving his worth last season, a battle for the starting spot is set as training camps near.
NFL analyst Cameron Wolfe spoke on the possible outcomes of the Browns’ quarterback battle on Tuesday, casting doubts over Shedeur Sanders’ future with the team, should Watson cement his place as the team’s undisputed starter.
“Does Watson hold down the fort in the last year of his contract, and if Watson does win that quarterback competition, do the Browns consider trading Shedeur Sanders and moving forward with Deshaun Watson and Taylen Green?”
However, the idea of trading Shedeur Sanders divided the fanbase as Browns faithful took to the comments to express their opinion on a possible trade.

Analysts Offer Insight Into Browns Possibly Drafting Brendan Sorsby
While the Browns currently have four quarterbacks on the roster, including Watson, Sanders, Gabriel, and Taylen Green, the team was rumored to be one of the possible destinations for Brendan Sorsby in the NFL supplemental draft.
However, analyst Lance Reisland was quick to shut down any such rumors during an appearance on the 92.3 The Fan podcast. Reisland spoke out on Sorsby’s readiness for the NFL and the former Texas Tech star’s floor compared to Watson and Sanders.
“They have to prioritize winning right now. I don’t think Brendan Sorsby is better than Shedeur or Deshaun right now. He doesn’t help you beat Jacksonville. If you always prepare for what’s next, you’re usually not apart of it.”
The Browns would be the second team to turn down Sorsby after the Jets reportedly pulled out of the sweepstakes for the former Texas Tech signal-caller.
