AJ Brown’s status as a Philadelphia Eagle is still very much in the air, with most people agreeing that it’s a matter of time before he gets traded, with June generally accepted as the time he might be leaving the team.
So understandably, any opportunity to get comments from one of his teammates would be one that journalists were never going to miss out on. And that’s exactly what happened when DeVonta Smith found himself questioned about the situation and Brown’s future at the Eagles.
In clear words, Smith chose to focus on his own game, simply saying “I got a job to do so I plan to go out there and do that.”
Smith Makes Another Public Comment After AJ Brown Words
Now he’s back talking about the city of Philadelphia, but in a slightly different light. After the Philadelphia 76ers’ basketball team picked up the crucial win in game seven of the NBA playoffs against the Boston Celtics, DeVonta Smith took to X to talk about the victory.
The funny thing about the post is, the first half could even be some sort of jibe at the news around him speaking on the AJ Brown controversy, which he clearly navigated beautifully. That being said, his support for the 76ers will go down well with the Philly locals who want all their sports teams to bring it home this season.
