UConn Star Braylon Mullins’ GF Kylee Drops 3-Word Comment After Thrilling Move Leading to Win Over Duke

Despite a disappointing regular season, in which they lost the Big East and tournament titles to St. John’s, Dan Hurley’s UConn Huskies managed to sneak past the No. 1 team in the nation, the Duke Blue Devils (73-72), in the Elite Eight on Sunday.

The victory came via a three-pointer by Braylon Mullins, who scored as the clock ran out at Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C. This was a thrilling end to the game between two giants of the game, and possibly the most exciting moment of March Madness so far.

Mullins’ girlfriend, Kylee Beranek, shared a picture of the Huskies celebrating their Elite Eight victory on her Instagram story. In the picture, she wrote:

    “Back to Indiana.”

Dan Hurley Praises Braylon Mullins For Last-Minute Shot During UConn’s Elite Eight Victory

Speaking a little over 12 hours after their victory over the Duke Blue Devils, Dan Hurley said the following on CBS Mornings about Braylon Mullins’ last-second heroic at Capitol One Arena on Sunday:

“Yeah, you know what? You’re just kind of watching the flight of the ball, you’re just kind of tracking it. I knew it was a deep shot. I didn’t realize how far away he was until I watched the replay of it. It was kind of tracking online, and Braylon’s such a special shooter that, that’s what March Madness is all about, moments like that, players making plays and shots like that.”

“He’s an incredible shooter of the ball. He was playing a great game, but he wasn’t having a great 3-point shooting game, and it was the perfect situation where, you know, he got the ball in rhythm from a distance that was right at the edge of his range as a shooter, and he had no time to think about it. He was able to just kind of let it go, and Alex Karaban made a great play just to make that pass to him so he could get one off in rhythm,” he added.

Mullins wasn’t the team’s best scorer, as he recorded only 10 points, but he was the definite hero of the night. Tarris Reed Jr. was UConn’s top scorer, with 26 points. The game’s top scorer was Duke’s Cameron Boozer, who had 27 points.
