Collin Chandler started his college basketball career with the Kentucky Wildcats in 2024. In his first season, Chandler played 30 games coming off the bench for over 10 minutes each outing.
When he entered his sophomore year, the Wildcats’ projected starter Jaland Lowe went down with an injury, which helped Chandler become the starting shooting guard. He started 31 of 36 games for Kentucky last season.
Chandler averaged 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting over 43% from the field and 41% from the three-point line. The Wildcats lost to the Florida Gators in the SEC Tournament.
They could only make it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, where they lost 63-82 to the Iowa State Cyclones. Chandler had a terrible outing in the second round, scoring just six points in 30 minutes.
Earlier today, Chandler committed to the BYU Cougars. Outside of basketball, Chandler leads a calm and peaceful life with his wife, Hannah Clark. He proposed to Hannah in December 2024.
Chandler and Hannah are high school sweethearts and have been together for several years. Hannah is a big part of his support system, and she often attends his games to cheer for her husband.
While Chandler is constantly surrounded by cameras as it’s a part of his career, he likes to keep his personal life private. The couple tied the knot on May 8, 2025.
Collin Chandler Announced his Transfer
The 6’5 shooting guard spent the first two years of his college basketball career playing under head coach Mark Pope. The Kentucky Wildcats head coach joined the program in 2024 as well.
After Chandler decided to leave, he thanked Coach Pope, the Kentucky staff, and his teammates.
“I am so grateful to Coach Pope, the assistant coaches and staff, my teammates, and the University of Kentucky and BBN for the last 2 years. You welcomed me into your family with open arms, were patient with me, and supported me every step of the way,” he said.
“You helped me grow so much…not just as a player, but as a man. You will always be family to me. I am returning home and excited for the work and challenges ahead.”
As he closes one chapter of his college basketball career, Chandler is embarking on another journey with the Cougars.
“I’m coming home,” Chandler wrote on social media. “Cougar nation, let’s rock.”
He will now be a part of Kevin Young’s BYU squad, where Chandler is expected to have a bigger role than he did in Kentucky.
