In a massive one-day recruitment binge, Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers managed to get the commitments of multiple four-star recruits from the Class of 2027. They recruited so well this week that they went from being outside the top 20 for the Class of 2027 rankings to being No. 15, according to On3. That is not all though, as more possible Clemson recruits may be coming.
Clemson started things off by getting four-star running back Gary Walker. This is all thanks to OC Chad Morris who led the push to recruit the running back, who is considered to be in the Top 10 in his position. This was then followed up by four-star safety Jarrell Chandler, who brings in some defensive intensity.
The Clemson Tigers were not yet finished though, as they would then acquire on of their biggest Class of 2027 targets in Jamarin Simmons. The man nicknamed “Waffle House” because he is always open is known for his speed that leaves defenses in he dust. He is currently ranked as the No. 19 receiver in America, which is why Clemson recruiting him is big news.
This recruitment drive would be then capped off by three-star offensive lineman Carter Jones, who will be the first offensive line recruit for Swinney from the Class of 2026. Altogether, this is a very good-looking class so far, though Swinney still has to make sure he secures their commitment and no other school flips any of them.
Who Have the Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers Recruited So Far From the Class of 2027?
So far, Dabo Swinney has 11 commits over at Clemson, with six four-star recruits and five three-star recruits. He has not landed any five-star recruits yet, and his offensive line still needs some help. However, his recruits are looking good so far.
