Sherrone Moore’s time at Michigan may have come to an end, but the pandora’s box seems to have only just opened as the Wolverines’ staff gets involved in some serious legal issues following the controversy that originally had Sherrone Moore at the center of it.
In its latest development, a reporter working on the Michigan exposé has claimed that Sherrone Moore was threatening legal action as he tried to reveal the dirty business ongoing at Michigan, and called him a “fake reporter” for trying to get to the bottom of what was going on, but was arrested in relation to the case just nine days later.
“Sherrone Moore mocked my reporting, calling me a “fake reporter” and claiming his lawyers were coming for me. Then got fired and arrested 9 days later. Still haven’t heard from his legal team,” Justin Spiro wrote on X.
Alleged screenshots of Sherrone Moore discussing the said journalist were released, and they seem to highlight the extent to which Moore was willing to go to avoid getting caught, threatening that his lawyers were already getting involved.
Question Marks Raised Over Michigan’s Massive Legal Spend
Michigan spent a whopping $11 million and more to investigate its athletic department, but according to a lawyer, that amount should also be investigated.
The Chicago law firm in question was Jenner & Block, and while these are just pure estimates as things stand, the sheer scale of the investigation suggests Michigan were serious about getting to the bottom of a scandal that threatened its program’s reputation all over the country.
