Las Vegas Aces star Chelsea Gray was allegedly targeted with racist insults by a disgruntled bettor after their matchup against Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever on Sunday.
Shortly after Gray made the messages public, calling for the players to be protected, the person responsible was identified by social media sleuths, which eventually led to their being fired from their job with Hilton.
Now, rapper Toosii has added more fuel to the discourse by questioning whether players are betting on games. While Toosii did not mention any names, he compared the situation to that of Malik Beasley, who was accused of manipulating his on-court performances to benefit bettors. Beasley pleaded not guilty to all charges earlier this month.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Toosii said:
“Y’all sure they not betting on they self in the WNBA? It’s some real Malik Beasley shit going on over there.”
Toosii Stepped Away From College Football Because Of Alleged Gambling Deal
After announcing his decision to pause his music career, Toosii joined Fran Brown’s Syracuse program, looking to make a name for himself in college football. However, his move to Syracuse did not go as planned, as he stepped away from the program after a reported falling-out with Brown.
Following his release, Toosii stepped into the LSU program to try his luck in the SEC. While Toosii was part of the roster and practiced with the team, Lane Kiffin eventually announced that Toosii would be stepping away from college football altogether and resuming his music career.
While the decision was not football-related, Kiffin said Toosii had signed a brand deal with an unnamed gambling company, and that keeping him on the roster would not comply with the NCAA’s rules.
While Toosii was a prospect for Kiffin, LSU is not short at wide receiver with Jayce Brown, Jackson Harris, Winston Watkins Jr., and more. The Tigers open their season against familiar foes, Clemson, at Death Valley on Sept. 5, 2026.
