The Texas star quarterback Arch Manning and his dad, Cooper Manning, recently partnered with an eyewear brand for a commercial.
The father-son duo is seen at a golf setting, wearing the same “Warby Parker” glasses, which raised Arch’s eyebrows.
The Longhorns star told his father he can’t wear the same glasses, to which Cooper hilariously reacts and says he can’t wear them since they are “twins.”
Reacting to the situation, Arch said:
“This is embarrassing.”
”You’re embarrassing.” Cooper responded with a smirk.
Both Arch and Cooper then played a game of golf with a competitive spirit, engaging in trash talk.
The Manning boys then hugged it out and called it a day at the end of the commercial.
Urban Meyer Gives Arch Manning Grace Over Underwhelming 2025 Season Performance
Arch Manning was among the most hyped up players ahead of the 2025 college football season, with analysts projecting him to win the Heisman Trophy in his first year as the team’s starting quarterback.
Despite all the hype, Manning’s first year was a bit underwhelming for the fans, especially at the start of the season, as he struggled to find his rhythm in the first few games.
While Manning did find his groove in the second half of the season and finished with good stats, many analysts were left underwhelmed.
Talking about the situation, Urban Meyer shifted the blame from Manning and shared that he didn’t have a good enough team around him last year.
“I think the common denominator of every great quarterback is a great group of players around him. And I remember talking to Sark about this, you know, everybody’s all over Arch Manning, and I get it, you’re a quarterback, and you had that last name, get used to it, pal. That’s going to be the rest of your life.
However, when players aren’t open, that’s not the quarterback’s fault. And the receivers against Ohio State really struggled. They’re very talented. They didn’t play great in that game. Yeah. Dudes surround every quarterback that has a great year.”
Meyer also advised Manning to get used to the spotlight that is on him.
“That’s going to be the rest of your life,” Urban Meyer said on his July 10 Triple Option podcast. “However, when players aren’t open, that’s not the quarterback’s fault. And the receivers against Ohio State really struggled.”
Manning ended the 2025 season with 3,163 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
