The name Dawn Staley carries a lot of weight and this has resulted in her getting a lot of good recruits from high school. Five-star prospects often line-up to see if she would be interested in them, and this year, she certainly has multiple five and four-star recruits.
For now, Dawn Staley has managed to just get four recruits so far, with two signees and two hard commits. Both signees are four-stars and both hard commits are five-stars. The question is, how do they rank against one another?
South Carolina Women’s Basketball Class of 2026 Recruits Ranked
4 – PF Kaeli Wynn (Mater Dei High School, California)
Kaeli Wynn is a solid four-star power forward who is ranked No. 41 in the country and the No. 11 in her position. She is largely seen as a very versatile player who has a very good jump shot and is a good rebounder. However, Dawn Staley also has another very good power forward recruited from the Class of 2026, so Wynn would stay as the No. 4 for now.
3 – C Kelsi Andrews (IMG Academy, Florida)
Andrews comes from perhaps the most well-known sports high school in the country, and she has proven to be one of the best centers from her class. This four-star signee is ranked No. 24 nationally and is also the No. 3 center in the country, choosing South Carolina over Auburn and LSU. A true center who has developed into a true post player, she could prove to be an asset under the boards and dominate in the rebounding department.
2 -PF Oliviyah Edwards (Elite Sports Academy, Washington)
One of Dawn Staley’s two five-star recruits, Edwards is a threat. She is big and can shoot from deep as well as in the paint. Ranked No. 5 overall and the No. 1 power forward in the country, many see her as a possible starter for a national contender like South Carolina already, and she has clearly hit it off with Staley during her official visit.
1 – SG Jerzy Robinson (Sierra Canyon, California)
Regarded as one of the most physically gifted female high school basketball stars today, Jerzy Robinson is a powerful and explosive scoring machine who is a big guard who could slash and shoot. Ranked No. 3 overall and the No. 1 shooting guard in the country, Robinson plays for another famous sports school, Sierra Canyon, and has certainly grown during her time there. Under Staley, she could explode.
